Owner Operator Driver Salary
The owner operator’s weekly salary at Hoekstra Transportation exceeds the industry average. There are also many possibilities to receive bonuses, night and weekend differentials, and overtime after 40 hours. Full-time drivers also have regular home time and full benefits, including medical, dental, vision, a $25,000 basic life insurance plan, 401k, PTO, and access to the employee assistance program.

Driver Qualifications for Owner Operators
To become an owner operator, your tractor and equipment must meet our standards of operational excellence.
You must have a tractor no more than five years old with a maximum fifth-wheel height of 48 feet.
Furthermore, you must have the required licenses and certifications as a driver. These requirements include a current Class A CDL and an up-to-date DOT physical. You should be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and road test. Show verifiable two years experience, be at least 23 years old, and have no preventable accidents within the last year or drug or alcohol-related convictions in the previous ten years.
