Local Driver Salary
The local truck driver’s hourly salary at Hoekstra Transportation is higher than the industry average. There are also many possibilities to receive bonuses, night and weekend differentials and overtime after 40 hours. Drivers also have regular home time and full benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k, paid holidays, and PTO.
Driver Equipment
As a local truck driver, you will be assigned a late model truck. Your highly equipped truck will feature everything you need for a safe and comfortable drive. Each truck is thoroughly serviced and maintained for the safety of the driver and everyone on the road.
Driver Qualifications for Local Truck Driving
Drivers must meet the required licenses and certifications for local routes. These requirements include a current Class A CDL and an up-to-date DOT physical. You’ll have to be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and road test. Show verifiable two years’ experience, preferably with a dry van, be at least 23 years old, and have no preventable accidents within the last year.
Additional driving qualifications include no drug or alcohol-related convictions in the previous ten years. Possessing a motor vehicle record (MVR) that meets the requirements of our insurance company is a requirement.
