Qualifications To be considered for employment with Hoekstra Transportation, candidates must meet the following qualifications: • Supply own Class A CDL • Have valid DOT physical • Pass pre-employment drug screening • Interview with the safety manager • Complete a road test • Have 2-year recent, verifiable 53' Van experience • Be a minimum of 23 years old • Have a stable work history • Have no preventable accidents within the last year • Have no drug or alcohol related convictions in the last 5 years • Possess a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) that meets the requirements of our insurance company Tier A (1 point each violation) Improper stop on highway Lane Violations Speeding (1-10 mph over the limit) Traffic control device violation Tier B (2 points each violation) Accident at-fault Speeding (11-15 mph over the limit) Following too close violation One-way street violation Failure to yield violation Red light violation Stop sign violation Careless driving Tier C (3 points each violation) Speeding (16-20 mph over the limit) Railroad crossing violation Tier D (prohibited) Driving with suspended/revoked license DUI/DWI/drug or alcohol possession Failure to report an accident Failure to stop, aid and identify False report to department Fraudulent use of drivers license Felony with vehicle Hit and run Leaving the scene of accident Homicide involving vehicle Manslaughter with vehicle Passing school bus Participating in racing Reckless driving Using a vehicle to elude an officer Speeding (21 or more over the limit) Point Accumulation 1 to 3 points within the past 36 months constitutes an insurable driver 3 points within the past 12 months may be subject to driver probation 4 or more points within the past 36 months constitutes an uninsurable driver
