Hoekstra Transportation is a regional carrier located just fifty minutes south of Chicago.
We operate a fleet of conventional tractors and hire the safest drivers in the industry. We utilize all of the latest technology in the transportation industry to provide real-time visibility to your shipments with our online tracking capabilities.
Generations Strong
Hoekstra Transportation traces its roots back to the Hoekstra family business that always had trucks to deliver their produce to market.
With the idea of diversification and the timing of deregulation in the trucking industry, WM. Hoekstra & Sons took steps to expand that portion of their business. The result was a rapidly unplanned growth of business.
With our willingness to serve the challenging just-in-time customer base, it was common for us to have a “small opportunity” and grow that into becoming a core shipper.
Our drivers and staff continue to provide excellent customer service. We serve the distribution network within a 500-mile radius of the Chicago Metropolitan area.
With our high trailer to tractor ratio and a 200-300 mile average length of haul, we keep our most important assets (our customers and drivers) moving
